In our quest for quality, we opted for the most famous sole in the sector. Vibram® 5mm, light yet extremely resistant, that provides a better grip with ground and more durability*.
Laces: Nörd Lock System®
It took us a while to figure out which closure system to apply on this sandals. We wanted something minimalist with an aesthetic design while selecting the most resistant materials.
We also opted for the ease in the use and the option for washing and to disassemble some parts for replace if necessary.

Questions about Nörd sandals
What is the difference between the Zero, Volcan, and Uluwatu models?
The only difference lies in the color of the elastic cord. All other features, materials, and specifications remain the same.
What is the difference between the Compact and the Strap model?
The only difference is that the Strap version features an adjustable ankle strap, allowing you to customize the fit for enhanced comfort and support.
Can I get them wet?
Sure Nörd is waterproof! But if you buy Skin version it better not to get them wet. Skin and water are not good friends.
Can I use Nörd sandals in any terrain, whether it's city, mountain or sea?
Each Nörd sandal is handmade using high quality resistant materials of well-known brands such as Vibram® and Ironman® allowing for an ample usage in different terrains. However, the sandals are designed for a feel-free walk, hence the user must be aware that their feet will be unprotected from rough impact or blows from external elements like stones, rocks, branches, street furniture, etc. Likewise, the user must be aware that the sandals provide a strictly necessary support that is sufficient for walking freely. The user must also make a reasonable and responsible use of them, taking into account the different terrains to be used on, whether walking or running.
Will they not be too low?
Walking with the Nörd is walking barefoot but with the foot protected by a technical sole like the Vibram© used for high-end mountain shoes.
Are they comfortable?
The sandals are made with a 5mm Vibram® sole. It is a very different way of walking, it’s almost like as if you were barefoot but with your feet protected. We were the first to test them during two years and they appeared to be realy comfortable. Once you try them, it is really hard to get back to normal rubber sandals.
Many athletes runwith 5mm minimalist sole sandals today to have a better grip with the land, like it was done in the past before trainers were introduced.
The 5mm Vibram® sole is very resistant, although one should consider that it doesn’t have the same cushioning as normal EVA soles. So, if you are looking for some super cushioning, NÖRD isn’t the right choice for you.
I find it weird walking in the sandals, is it normal?
Yes, totally. Everyone will tell you that it takes some time to get used to Nörd sandals (the same goes for running sandals). Your body needs some adaptation time. In our case, it took about two or three days walking around with the sandals on almost all day to get used to the 5mm soles. But, of course, it may vary from person to person.
Pros: Sandals with very nice aesthetics, super minimalist, actually the most miminalist I’ve found. I don’t run in them, it’s more for travelling, hiking and especially for summer in the city.

Las sandalias están hechas a mano y la prueba es lo que os voy a explicar: los cordones estaban demasiado tensos y me era imposible andar con ellas puesto que me hacían daño entre los dedos.
Me puse en contacto con NÖRD y recibí un fantástico trato y servicio post venta. Me recogieron en domicilio las mismas y después de solucionarlo, las volvieron a enviar el día siguiente.
Ahora, literalmente es como si nos las llevase puestas. Y ese es el principal valor de este tipo de calzado. Son comodísimas, ligeras y con una suela que te transmite seguridad en la pisada.

A priori estoy contento con la compra, si bien no me ha dado mucho tiempo a probarlas porque las tengo desde hace un día. Son cómodas porque es como si no llevases nada aunque creo que si incorporase algo más de grosor en la suela, sería aún mejor ya que dependiendo del terreno se notan hastante elementos como las piedrecillas. Al abrirlas da la sensación de material muy endeble, pero habrá que esperar a ver el resultado pasado un tiempo. En cuanto al precio creo que es un poco elevado aunque alabe la parte ecológica y artesanal del producto.

Me las compré por diseño y porque quería probar las sandalias minimalistas. El embalaje muy cuidado, las sandalias me las he puesto todos los días y los dos primeros me dolían los pies porque siempre acostumbro a llevar calzado amortiguado, ahora no me duelen , vas como si fueras descalzo y con los pies súper frescos. No son caras, estas comprando un producto artesano y nacional, con suela vibram y materiales de calidad que espero que duren muchos años.
Me equivoqué con la talla, me puse en contacto con ellos, al día siguiente me llegaron otras y las que descambiaba se las llevaba el mismo transportista. Una maravilla!

Son unas sandalias muy buenas. La suela vibram es excelente, el ajuste es bueno y cómodo y no rozan nada. A la hora de andar son realmente comfortables y el suelo se siente cerca. Hay que revisar bien que los termoretráctiles estén bien sellados. En mi caso uno no estaba bien y se salió de su sitio (por eso no pongo 5 estrellas) y tuve que recolocarlo, calentarlo y apretarlo correctamente.

Les sandales sont légères et agréables, on est proche de la sensation pied nus. Cependant, la gaine thermo rétractable s’use très vite , donc le cordon est vite attaqué, et j’arrive déjà (moins de 2 semaines) aux élastiques apparents. J’avais commandé 2 cordons de rechange, je pense qu’ils seront vite utilisés.
